Lack of coverage is not only a rural problem. Many highways across the globe lack mobile coverage. Simply because current infrastructure is too expensive to implement. Thanks to WorldGSM™, even desert highways in Australia can finally be covered.

For road deployments, the WorldGSM™ system comprises:

  • The Road Site — a Base Station Tower with a 2-TRX BlueBox™, typically deployed as a hub.
  • The OrangeBox™ 600i (MSC) and GreenBox™ 160i (BSC) — typically co-located at the end node of the host network.

WorldGSM™ is a simple, low-risk way to add coverage along the roads between the towns and villages already covered by mobile network services.

It’s also a low-risk, low-cost way for operators to ramp up slowly and deploy the system to cover previously uncovered roads.
